words - Fine. Bright. Crimpy. Peruvian.
We've always known that Julio was a knock out, but
this stunning young man pleases us more each and
every day. In April 05 he took 2nd place
at the North American Alpaca Show in the Medium Fawn
2 year old male class. After getting his hands
on Julio for the first time, Mike Saffley (judge)
turned to his apprentice to verify that they were
actually judging the 2 year old class and not a
younger class. Of course, this is not
too surprising. With an 18.3 AFD at 2
1/2 years of age, Julio is finer than many cria, let
alone other males of his age.
Fineness may be the Julio's strongest suit, but it
certainly isn't the only quality he boasts.
Top knot to toes, his bright vicuna colored fleece
is full of tight structured bundles of high
frequency, high amplitude crimp. Julio is a
large, growing boy whose correct frame stands taller
than the older males on our ranch. He also
exhibits the "macho" attitude that we like to see in
an elite herd sire.
To sum it all up,
Julio is truly the perfect package. If all of
this sounds to good to be true, come and see Julio
for yourself. We promise, you will be nothing
short of amazed. |
